Leica T-Scan

Leica T-Scan is a non-contact 3D geometry measuring system of hand-held type. You hold with one hand the laser sensor T-Scan that is not mechanically restrained, to project 90 mm wide laser light over the measuring subject, and move the sensor unit along the geometry of the subject. By so doing, this novel system rapidly measures complicated geometries. The tracker calculates in real time the position and tilt of the hand-held sensor. The measuring range is 15 m at maximum in radius from the tracker, enabling accurate measurement of large workpieces. The laser sensor is hardly affected by the color or gloss of the surface to be measured. So powdering before measurement is not necessary. Since the system can be freely moved, measurements can be made in the manufacturing site.

This unit with a laser interferometer and a CCD camera calculates accurately the spatial position and angle of the laser senor T-Scan and contract T-Probe. This innovative unit provides large measuring range and high precision measurement, the features conventionally incompatible with each other. Even with a single tracker unit, it is possible to perform 3D measurement in a range up to 40 m in radius and calculation of the trajectory of measurement subjects, if a reflector is used.

This is a wireless touch probe that can be held with one hand, compact in size, light in weight and excellent in accuracy. You can change the stylus length at the end of probe, during measurement. This probe is capable of easily measuring depths of complicated geometries, difficult with a conventional probe.
